Ho'ola Candle - To Heal

The Ho’ola Candle, “Ho’ola” meaning to give life, heal, to cure, carries properties known to fragrantly purify and stimulate the conscious mind, it also influences well-being, promotes health and healing.  Researchers from the University of Kiel, found that Peppermint, an herb infused in the Ho’ola Candle, “lessened headache pain in a double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study.”  Peppermint is one of the most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion.  Another fragrant expectorant found in Ho’ola is the Eucalyptus Globulus, which is often used for the respiratory system and was shown by laboratory results, “to be a powerful antimicrobial agent.  In North Africa, it has been known, Eucalyptus trees are planted to block off the spread of malaria.  Per Jean Valnet, MD, a solution of 2 percent eucalyptus oil sprayed on the skin will kill 70 percent of ambient staph bacteria.  As an expectorant, Eucalyptus is used for respiratory/sinus infections and as a decongestant.  Rosemary, the final herb used in Ho’ola (as mentioned above in “Malama,”) was one of the herbs used by thieves to rob from the dead during the plague.  Later cultures believed Rosemary would ward off devils.  This theory was eventually adopted by the sick to protect against infection.  Hospitals, in France use Rosemary to disinfect the air due to its fragrant influences of improving mental clarity, focus and helped overcome mental fatigue.
